i'm despicable for totally disappearing.
life has been hectic and i had to leave this blog for a while though i still dedicated a great part of my time and money to fashion aka going bankrupt due to buying too many clothes. but thankfully, i found this amazing second hand store on my way to the british council and i might check it out really soon :D

london calling...

I'm so terribly sorry I've been M.I.A.
I've had so many portfolios and projects to deliver it's insane.
But, coming friday, it all sort of calms down since the holidays start.
Unfortunately, holidays will not be as great as they could and should be for I have a ton of things to study.

Moving on to more interesting subjects...Guess who got very interesting mail this week?!
The London Fashion College sent me the catologue of their graduate courses, I'm so excited :D
I am quite hopeful I will manage to do a two week course there, in the summer and, later, take my master's degree.

I was also browsing h&m's site and I found their magazine.
I'm in love with these outfits:

always one foot on the ground

going for a rock-chic look?
inspired by the reading of fashion chalet's interview.
i feel like the groupie of guns&roses or something, maybe i'm overdoing it.

(leggings - bershka, grey long shirt - h&m, bag - accesorize - long cardigan -pull&bear, strap shoes - pimkie)

I must be honest, I changed to a midgnigh blue blouse-dress and the shoes were changed to the h&m black boots -- more comfortable to go and have lunch with my dad in the mall and go to a different mall to hang out with Katie and window-shop (maybe some actual shopping will happen too)

this is your chance, stop wasting your time

"so naïve, so afraid of the outside world."
i want to get short dresses or long blouse-shirts -- any recommendations?

kalynv, you asked me where one could get boots like the ones i wear in the pictures in the last post (and today's too) without being in h&m -- i believe i saw similar ones in zara and in stradivarius, i'm not really sure if this helps, but i hope it does.

how domestic are we now?

I am one obsessed girl. This dress worn by Miranda Kerr is absolutely amazing, I love the colour and, of course, it looks great on her -- but what doesn't? Today I dragged my dad to Zara, where I found the most adorable shoes -- something tells me I will be acquiring them soon. My dad asked what I wanted for christmas...It would be easier to tell him what I do not want, for I want so many things this year. This says it all.

baby, there's a lesson to learn...

Edita Vilkeviciute

I hadn't seen this model until very recently and I was rather impressed. She is extremely beautiful, exquisite and elegant. What I love the most about her is that, going through the archives of her in style.com, in almost every picture she has a smile on her face, at least in the backstage ones.

Soon enough, another outfit post.
Lately, life has been running around, writing essays or other things for college.
non-stop. nevertheless, this shall end or at least ease a little bit when college ends in two weeks time.
And I apologise for the childishness of this collage I made.

"on ne naît pas femme, on le devient"

Designers and Feminism, or the other way around.

Today I am an emprisoned one, locked up at home doing a paper work on the "condition of the woman in society" because I have this grand chair in college called (better yet, just translated to) Great Books or something like that. We're reading "Le deuxième sexe", by Simone de Beauvoir. But in portuguese, not in french. Anyway, out with the randomness as usual, and in with the actual post! I decided to post some pictures of how I'm dressed today, but I must admit I will not leave the house like that because it's freakin' freezin' out there. I'm serious, someone must be pratically shouting "Welcome to the Artic!" in here. The weather is definitetly gloomy and I am sorry my clothes are becoming rather boring because I do not have many exciting items right now, as I have moved to this flat with my dad this summer and lately I have begun to feel like my style is changing and I must get new goodies to accompany such style, but for the time being these clothes shall have to be enough. I simply cannot go out one morning and buy the entire h&m and zara, or some store of the kind. I actually wanted to address to the subject of stores. I do love designer items and I could not get enough of them, but I have to say...I'm a bit afraid of using them because I'm so scared I might ruin them in the rain or by simply breathing on them. Okay, now I'm being melodramatic, but I am quite serious. I cherish so much the fact of having such an exquisite item that I am honestly hesitant when it comes to actually using it. How do you feel about the subject? Do you use designer items as you could use a bland item or are you extra careful with it?
